Does Ketone 2.0 cause endogenous or exogenous ketosis?

Updated 1 week ago by Taylor

Ketosis is characterized by blood concentrations of ketone bodies over 0.5 mM.

The Ketone-IQ™️ technology in H.V.M.N. Ketone 2.0 causes exogenous ketosis, which occurs when you consume ketones directly. This is different from endogenous ketosis, which occurs when the body naturally produces ketones as a result of a ketogenic diet or fasting.

The key, measurable endpoint of endogenous ketosis and exogenous ketosis is the same: blood ketone levels of over 0.5 mM. However, there are likely to be different benefits/effects from exogenous and endogenous ketones.
