What diet should I follow when taking Ketone 2.0?

Updated 1 week ago by Taylor

When you take H.V.M.N. Ketone 2.0, you do not need to change your diet in order to elevate your blood ketone levels. This means that athletes can fuel as normal with carbohydrates and also have ketones as an extra energy source for training, competition, and recovery.

If you don’t normally follow a ketogenic diet and are taking exogenous ketones to boost endurance performance, we recommend taking Ketone 2.0 alongside your standard pre-workout meal. Make sure to include adequate carbohydrates.

If you are using Ketone 2.0 to help recover from a workout, then include a source of carbohydrates (2 g/kg) and protein (0.3 g/kg) to maximize your recovery.

If you normally follow a ketogenic diet, you do not need to take carbs to get energy from the Ketone-IQ™️ technology found in Ketone 2.0.

Research has yet to determine which benefits of a ketogenic diet and fasting are caused by ketones themselves, or by the diet as a whole. In order to maximize these potential benefits, we recommend that you modify your diet and lifestyle where possible:

  • Reduce your consumption of refined carbohydrates
  • Increase the amount of energy coming from healthy fats in your diet
  • Ensure you are properly hydrated
  • Try to increase your physical activity where possible
