MCT Oil is "medium-chain triglycerides" and is extracted and purified (from coconut or palm kernel oil) so that it does not contain some of the other fats and compounds found in coconut oil. There are 4 types of MCTs: Caproic Acid (C6), Caprylic Acid (C8), Capric Acid (C10) and Lauric Acid (C12).

MCT Oil Powder is MCT oil mixed with a "carrier" powder, which is what makes the mixture a powder! Every MCT oil powder has a different choice of carrier. Some use dairy powders, soy lecithin, even maltodextrin - H.V.M.N. uses gut-friendly, prebiotic acacia powder! Every MCT oil powder has a different blend of MCTs, making H.V.M.N.'s a rare find with pure C8!

Coconut Oil is simply oil from coconuts.

C8 is Caprylic Acid, as mentioned above. This is the most "ketogenic" MCT, as it most efficiently converts into ketones for energy, and it's the MCT you'll find in our MCT Oil Powder!
