Does Ketone-IQ™ cause endogenous or exogenous ketosis?

Updated 4 months ago by Taylor

Ketosis is characterized by blood concentrations of ketone bodies over 0.5 millimolar (mmol).

Ketone-IQ™️ causes exogenous ketosis, which occurs when you consume ketones directly. This is different from endogenous ketosis, which occurs when the body naturally produces ketones as a result of a ketogenic diet or fasting.

The key, measurable endpoint of endogenous ketosis and exogenous ketosis is the same: blood ketone levels of over 0.5 mmol.

However, drinkable and natural ketones likely provide different benefits and effects.
